Agnes' in Kailua. My co-workers had been telling me it was better than Leonard's and, after trying them this morning, I would agree. Much easier to get in and out of as well.

Tour busses unload people at Leonard's all day long. It's almost always hard to find parking. And their malasada's are good. But for me, they just have way too much sugar all over them.

My preference and favorite is the Poi malasada's at King Kamehameha Bakery much better on Oahu, in my opinion.

For me, it has to be Kauai Malasada - from the little booth in front of the Kmart in Lihue.
The lady who makes them is so sweet and you can taste the love in each bite. You can get plain sugar or cinnamon sugar. Those are the only two options.

Leonard's Bakery - Malasadas, Pao Doce, Malasada Puffs, Pao Doce Pups, and more...

Further i would suggest trying a coco puff from Liliha Bakery: the second best pastery on Oahu. .

It really depends on what island you are going to. On Oahu, Leonard's is my favorite.

Please tell me what island, which restaurant and why they are your favorites.

Thank you in advance.
NO CONTEST! Tex's in Honoka'a on the Big Island!

We get ours at Tex's, too! Yay! Although, for us, it's within walking distance, so that might have something to do with it. But they are good malasadas, too. I like the ones filled with Bavarian Creme.

With my unrefined palate any place that sells malasadas taste the same to me. I've tried malasadas from different places and they all taste the same to me, you can't really go wrong. I'd eat them more often but I don't want to get diabetes

I've only tried them a couple of times, and I'd rather have a glazed Krispy Kreme. But I am a heathen.
