Kaho'olawe has no fresh water source, except for rainfall from the occasional Kona storm. It sits in the 'shadow' of Haleakala, and any rainfall from the trades is normally spent on the windward side of Maui long before it gets over the mountain and to the Island. You should get onto the KIRC volunteer list, check it out yourself. It's a 'chicken skin' Island if ever there were one.

Was that video from 1981? Is there another story after that one? Who owns most of the land in Hawaii? Don't ask me why I'm interested in Hawaii...I just am, is there a law against it?
