*lmao* at Hank's "Da wallet"

Thank you for the miso dressing recipe, kani! I'm definitely going to try it.

No, just kidding on sending me some of your sauce. For years, I was trying to find a good teriyaki sauce until I started experimenting on my own and have finally come up with what I think is a "satisfactory" concoction but I'm always trying to fool with it to see if I can perfect it even more. In fact, I tried basting some chicken last night with the maple syrup, garlic powder, shoyu, pepper, and mirin. It was interesting. I'm going to try to vary the ingredients a bit to see if I can come up with a better balance. A friend told me to use butter pecan syrup ...I don't know but I'm always up for experimenting with stuff.

Hey, believe it or not, spam was actually BANNED from my house when I was growing up! My dad was in the Navy Seabees in WWII, and the refrigeration on their ship broke down in the S. Pacific, and they had to live on spam for something like 32 days, so he wouldn't let a can in the house!

I actually had spam for the first time when I visited the BI in 2005. Never would have thought of spam sushi, but it sure is good! Have a feeling (now that dear ol' dad's long departed) that I'll be eating a lot more of it... especially with all these great ideas. Arteries, watch out!

My.... Mouth..... Is..... Watering..... and I'm not off work for 2 more hours then I will be hitting Safeway. Probably not for spam but for something I can toss in the skillet.

Spam and rice, spam and this and spam and that... Spam tacos... huh, mmmm sounds good, huh?

Spam carved into a fish or carved into a castle or carved into a tree...

I can hardly wait til we get moved.
