Most of Lost is filmed mauka side Waimanalo, by the Koolau mountains. Many episodes of Magnum PI were filmed there too, in fact the famous Robin Masters mansion is in Waimanalo as well. Don't know about tours.
Most of the "Lost" stars live in Kailua, HI (on the Windward side) and you can often see them at the coffee shops, stores, or restaurants there. There is an actual filming area for "Lost" up at the North Shore. Some of my friends have just driven up there and walked up to the set to watch. I doubt there is an organized tour, but you are welcome to walk up to the set and see if you can watch!
Does anyone know what their filming schedule is? Will they be filming at the end of February, or have they done all the shows for the season that's about to start? I know that would be something my husband and son would LOVE to do while I'm slaving over the bar exam!

I think everything is on hold because of the writers' strike. Here's a web site on the subject:
i think i remember hearing on the news that there will only be 8 episodes this season and that they were already filmed?! i could be wrong. this season's 2 hr. premier airs on jan. 31.
according to sunday's honolulu advertiser (1/27/08), "one of the biggest mysteries for the new season doesn't come from the super-secret north shore set of lost. it's out of hollywood, where the writers guild of america remains in a contract dispute with studios. only eight episodes of lost were filmed and edited before the strike began last november, which is half of what was originally planned."
