Maintaining the place at 84 with heat? That doesn't sound like a good plan.

My mother has a condo in Maalaea that she only rents out to friends, which means it's vacant most of the time.

She does absolutely nothing AFAIK to maintain it, other than have a housekeeper come in after visitors.

No AC in unit, no heat. She lives there for a couple months in the winter.

I'm concerned about the unit getting too hot inside though.

As far as electronics go, there's only 1 TV. so you'd say there wouldn't be a problem leaving the AC off?

I think so. My mom's condo requires that residents shutter all windows when leaving unit vacant, which she does. The only problem she's reported in 35 yrs of ownership is that a pair of sandals left behind melted down on her last year. It's a concrete building, maybe that prevents excessive heating during the day, I don't know.
