Mail in ballots worked out pretty well for the two republicans in California. Just saying.

Here is a good read.

Another problem with mail in ballots is it is easier for voter fraud and ballot harvesting.

I'm surprised this is making news now - as the same thing happened a few weeks ago when the legislature was recalled.

My 2 cents - anytime I've watched some of those hearings, they are very confrontational - needlessly so in my opinion. They seem on the attack - lots of yelling - lot of gotcha moments. Very little constructive dialogue.

lots of bad blood between wakai and HTA. The real stupidity of it all is the legislature not simply appointing someone else in charge of the committee that specifically relates to economy and tourism. There's obviously conflict of interest. Again, the politicians squabble, while the people suffer. Same issue with the Gov and legislature.

And to add insult to injury, the HTA chief just resigned. In the middle of the pandemic. Rotating door of HTA presidents. Amazing display of commitment and "public service", huh?

And now we have elections coming up, and virtually all the candidates are retreads of corrupt politicians or "new" to politics, but heavily connected to the ole boy network and supported by big labor. Nothing really changes.
