The irony is that Hawaii is so anti-business that instead of addressing the causes of why businesses won't locate here, has taken a strategy that the state will instead poach the tax donkeys from states that treat business as something that should be encouraged rather than opposed at every turn.

Its a fair strategy, but one that will just further reinforce the bad decisions that brought us here in the first place. Now the state has less motivation to make efforts to diversify the economy or find efficiencies. They can raise taxes forever.

That’s why so many people are fleeing blue states; anti-business and high taxes. Unfortunately they are fleeing to red states destroying them by voting for the same ideology they have fled from. Hawaii, I think there will always be people who will move here regardless for the beautiful beaches and perfect climate.
