I think we kill more pedestrians than any other American city our size. Not sure what the count is on locals crossing Beretania or clueless guy in Waikiki. Cops in hot pants. How do I post a picture?
Where else will Americans be traveling? I have expected domestic travel to be hot this summer in the U.S. for a couple months now.
It appears Alaska will not be getting their million plus cruise ship passengers, however, due to Canada disallowing ships to stop in their ports.
I just checked my go-to tour company (Gate 1 Travel). Eastern Canada is sold out for all of this coming summer. In October one date has one seat still available. Oct. 22 is the first wide-open date, and the last date of the season. They are already booking 2022 tours.

Sold out/seats for what? What kind of tours are you looking at?
Ya know I'm just going off anecdotal information. I did realize it was skewed to a certain size city, blah blah blah. Maybe I need to give my foam finger back.
I don't buy it - especially if Covid tests are still required. It reads like a PR piece. No credible State tourism departments are projecting an onslaught.
United Airlines must think this will happen, or maybe it's just wishful thinking. But either way, they've been adding a bunch of capacity to Hawaii in recent weeks.
You know that United 777 that had an engine failure right after takeoff from Denver? It was bound for Honolulu -- and it was carrying 231 passengers. That was the first I knew that Hawaii had even reopened for tourism, much less that a lot of people were going there again.

United’s schedule systemwide is only firm thru mid-May. UA capacity to Hawaii is not at pre pandemic levels yet.
Great for Hawaiians that work in hospitality, terrible for the fish, corals, and sharks though, and overall environment.
Yep. A win for the working class. The ocean environment will survive, though (hopefully).
