Moving to Hawaii in Feb. 2010 and have lots of questions. The wife and I have never been to Hawaii so any responses will be greatly appreciated.
We're not sure which island we will be on but the wife is a Physical Therapist and I work for State Farm....so an island with business/hospitals sounds optimal. Secondly we both love the outdoors. I am an avid fisherman...spend a lot of time in the deep blue off Louisiana..The wife and i are both certified scuba divers and also enjoy spearfishing..I love to play golf,,,relax and have a nice mixed drink at sunset....love to eat seafood, we both surf occasionally, and would love to do some hiking and exploring waterfalls...
To pretty much sum it up we're blue water-white sand fanatics, who are obsessed with island style living and would like to call hawaii home.
Can anyone here recommend an island which would seem like a perfect fit for the info mentioned above?
How about fishing recommendations....which island has the best fishing...marlin etc and peacock bass in the mountains?
sorry about the context of this post but im in a bit of a hurry.
We appreciate all responses!!!!!
thanks,
Donnie

all of the islands are good for outdoors, fishing, hiing and the rest you mentioned. oahu has the most job ops I would think. each island has newspapers on line I would chec it out and see what you think would fit best for ya. jobs right now are slim to none you might find it easier to find wor in another field.

I see a better chance of work in Oahu because of the size but if you like small community's the big island is for you.
