Hello. I'm here to get some info about Hawaii. I'm an Army vet and I'm getting out of here within the next couple months. I'm thinking of moving to Hawaii but don't know where I want to move yet. I was thinking of Honolulu, my aunt, uncles and cousins live there. What's it like? My sis lived in Kona for about year, but I need a little more of a city life then Kona. I've talked to the relatives but want someone else opinion. What about the ladies? Whats the average rent out there? Anybody have any other places to recommend other than Honolulu? Also how's the job market out there? I was thinking of getting into law enforcement, or maybe the hotel industry.
if you like the city, our biggest city is honolulu. if you have family there that another reason to go there. jobs, there are hardly any at all in this economy on any island. tourism is way off and not a good time to be looking for work in that area. I do not know about oahu but maui is always looking for police officers. the pay isn't great but my guess is that would be your best opportunity for work.
