The SNL skit is hilarious.

Living in DC we also get our share of tourists. I have to say, though, that when the District seems completely overrun (May-Sept) I remember how much our visitors pay in hotel, restaurant, and sales taxes, as well as the amount they spend at local businesses that in turn employ my friends, and I become a lot more patient when they refuse to stand to the right on the Metro, try to hold open subway doors for their friends like they are in an elevator (they don't work that way), walk across streets against the light, clog the streets here with their busses, trash the parks, and swarm our restaurants.

Really excellent. That Rock is easy on the eyes.

Right now Maui is really bustling down at the Wailea resorts. I say thank goodness, welcome to Maui, and come to dinner however you like, as long as you are spending.

I'm going to smile and feed your tropical paradise fantasy so you tell all your friends to come too, and you come back next year with your 4 sunburned kiddies and buy new swimsuits and sandals again.

I like seeing the shopping bags in hand, can I help you by opening the door?

Are you on the whale watch with me? May I recommend a place for lunch or that you visit the Aquarium or ride the Sugar Cane Train?

Having pupus at the bar next to us? You should really try these Molokai sweet potato fries! Have another mai tai, no you look great, you are walking back to your hotel, right?

Aloha and mahalo and whatever else it takes!
