This info was recently forwarded to me...

Look clearly at the 2014 rate compared to the 2013 rate.

For those of you who are on Medicare, read the following. It's short, but
important and you probably haven't heard about it in the Mainstream News:

"The per person Medicare Insurance Premium will increase from the present
Monthly Fee of $96.40, rising to:

$104.20 in 2012

$120.20 in 2013

And

$247.00 in 2014."

These are Provisions incorporated in the Obamacare Legislation, purposely
delayed so as not to confuse the 2012 Re-Election Campaigns. Send this to
all Seniors that you know, so they will know who's throwing them under the
bus.

The main thing I do not like about this new bill is anything to do with medicaid. I suppose if this rate is correct, many retirees will in-fact end up on medicaid. This is OK only if people then start raising hell about the faults in this bill and force corrections pronto. If not there's going to be Medical prisons for those who fail to pay. The good thing? Free medical.

There are plenty of problems with Obamacare. No reason for others to be making some up. Always check any outlandish claims. I did because $247 would be a burden on my projected retirement budget and I'm glad it's false.

The current base rate for most people - the 2012 rate - is $99 and change. Those who didn't have Medicare before 2011 are paying at a higher rate ($115.00). And of course those with higher incomes pay substantially more.

I don't think you will have to worry about it. Doctors won't take Medicare patients because of their miniscule reimbursement.

I've already had one doctor quit his practice.

I think if you investigate you will find that your husband paid $115.00 in 2011 and it has gone back down to $99 in 2012.
