That is, assuming you live in a state that has undergone Medicaid expansion?

I am currently unemployed and have no income but get the impression that I may be denied because I'm living with my parents, who make above the federal poverty level.

Contact your local officials about Medicaid eligibility in your state. Normally, if you are an adult (an not a dependent on their tax return), you should qualify for Medicaid. States do differ, however, in how they qualify people. The goal of the ACA is insure everyone.

Depends on age, income, expenses and what state you live in.

I you are over 26 and have no income, you are probably going to be Medicaid eligible in almost any state, irrespective of with whom you live. (Under 26 and your parents' income is going to come into play.)
