I just got a notice from Humana that my Part D RX premium is scheduled to more than double next year from $28.90 to $59.50 per month. Has anyone else seen this type of massive increase?

I've been on a Humana Medicare supplement Plan F HD for the past few years. The Advantage plans available to me don't include the hospital my PCP and specialists are associated with in network. It may be time to shop around again.

If you've followed any news at all, the prices are going up - do your part and vote in/out politicians that are or aren't concerned about drug prices, follow news about the drug companies, etc. You can certainly shop around when it's open season.

Who one likes or dislikes depends on the drugs you are taking. Part D is definitely not a one-size-fits-all, who-do-you-recommend product.

Use the Medicare.gov Part D tool - plug in your formulary - and compare plans. You may find a different Part D insurer more appropriate for you in 2020. One should never continue the same Part D year after year without reviewing costs annually because insurers change premiums, copays and tiers and don't tell you. My sister had to change drug insurers three years running. You may need to do that. Let us know what you find.

Keep the HD-F - and find a different drug provider. Advantage presents a whole different set of problems you're best off avoiding if you can.

With the end of the donut holes, premiums are going increase more than what they used to. You will be able to review premiums of other plans in a few weeks and make a decision.

Should we expect to see the comparison charts before October 15th?

I am beginning to review plans and I noticed the Humana Walmart Plan seems to be back for $13.20. I only take two generic meds so if this is true it will work for me.

The old plan is discontinued, they just moved you to their most expensive one. A simple phone call after October 158th will solve your problem.
Same issue here.....
