Good point about the zip code. I've never needed mine either, thankfully, but given the degree of magnitude of my allergies and the impossibility of trying to avoid some of them, I have to carry the Epipens at all times. I've gone anaphylactic three times (prior to having the Epipens) so I just have to deal with it. I just wish they weren't so outrageously expensive. I'll report back with the results of my research.

I called back and forth from WellCare to Medicare, but the WellCare representative just kept putting me on hold, but nothing was ever resolved. Plus they are all from India, and I can’t understand a word they are saying. Now they have screwed up my billing. I have spent so many hours on the phone with them, and my problem never gets resolved. I have finally just given up. I don’t care anymore what happens. They have worn me down.
I have never had such a terrible customer service experience. I wish someone had warned me about this company. I can’t wait until next year to get rid of them. But they probably will screw that part up too.
Stay away from WellCare.
And that's one of the companies with the higher customer satisfaction rating. I can imagine how the others are.

Doesn't matter when you start it, I think. The next year all policies revert to Jan-Dec coverage.

Forget about jiving the amount SS withholds matching Wellcare's coverage cost. It takes 2 months for SS to implement withdrawal and cost changes. It's very confusing.

Wellcare also told me I'd get $2 discount having the amount withdrawn from SS. I didn't get the $2 discount.
