These are the two choices for the colonoscopy preparation:
The Colyte consists of two 64oz doses. I have done this before, and it was terrible. The cost is $7.00. The SuPrep consists of two 16oz doses followed by two 32oz doses of liquid. The cost is $104, with Part D.
Has anyone taken the SuPrep, and is it worth the extra cost?

I just had my colonoscopy yesterday and I used SuPrep. The first dose went down easy, I thought it tasted cherry like. Then followed by the 32 oz. of water. The next dose was a bit harder to tolerate. It is hard to drink all that liquid in an hour.

My cost was $75 and I found a $15 off coupon online. Google SuPrep coupon.

My understanding is the second dose is taken the morning of the procedure. If you think that prep was bad, try drinking the 64oz size. It’s awful.
I don’t know if CVS will take a coupon if I use Part D, but I will try it. Is this the coupon you used?

It says it can’t be used if billed to Medicare.

It says you can’t use it if you have Medicare, is that correct?

Just turned 50 and had my colonoscopy endoscopy center I went to gave me over the counter system. 1 64 oz of miralax and 4 ducolax then drink some other stuff saline laxative 4 hour before. The entire cost was less then $15 using Walmart generic brands.

I googled this system found several links like the instructions I received example

https://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/MPU/...orade_Prep.pdf

This method is easy won't make you sick I once had the golitly stuff about 10 years ago made be throw up.

Thank you,
I am going to ask them if this is an option. They gave me 4 choices, but this wasn’t one of them.

My last 3 colonoscopies I used the Miralax/Gatorade/Dulcolax plan. All OTC at drug store.

Only taste is the Gatorade.

1st was one of those specific "potions" (don't remember the name). Never again ! Ugh :-(

I am definitely going to call my colonoscopy center and ask if this is an option, if they say no, I will email the doctor myself.

Tell your Dr. that the meds are expensive with your plan and ask if they have other options or samples.

Happened to me recently at $140 with Plan D and when I called the office back, she told me that she had a sample pack I could used.
