Has anyone changed from Advantage Plan to Medicare? Did you have problems getting accepted by a Medigap Plan?

You are already on Medicare w/an Advantage plan, you are wanting to switch to a Supplement plan. It depends on underwriting for the supplement.

You should contact your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) for assistance.

"Guaranteed Issue" rights vary by State.

I had to go through underwriting in order to switch medigap plans and it was an interesting experience. I have an aortic aneurysm, so for a lot of companies it was a no-go. However my agent found one that said it was not a problem as it was small and not growing. So I made the switch and my premium for a high deductible F plan went from $69 to $41 per month.

It all depends on what medical conditions you may have. If you decide to proceed with changing, you might want to get with an agent. Mine saved me a lot of legwork as he did the work of contacting different companies to see who would insure me.
