Are you getting Medicare notices of your deductions for Covid Self Test kits? This is the second time and this time i did not even receive any kits. I just received notice from Medicare that I have fulfilled my deductions with this bill.
The last time it happened when i got the kit at home Medicare declared it was a fraud and issued mw a new number and card. Now not even the kit and the company is getting paid out of my account. Why does Medicare not able to stop this fraud?

Because the amount of fraud in Medicare exceeds the funding and staffing congress provides.

Here's the deal. In order for Medicare to get a handle on fraud, they need to increase the scrutiny of claims before payment is issued. That not only will result in a huge backlog of processing but it will also delay payments on legitimate claims.

Name one politician who is willing to face the ire of a bunch of pissed off old geezers yelling and screaming because their sacred Medicare has causes a few grumbles by their providers. Joking aside, unless Congress has the kachangas to fund fraud prevention at the level needed and still process claim efficiently, nothing is going to get done. I believe the GAO previously said for every dollar spend on fraud prevention, detection, and enforcement, taxpayers will save or get back $10+. But that will mean closing some precious military joint service MRE analytical group comprised of useless, one foot in the grave, officers who need another year of service before they can retire with max benefits, located in some ho-dunk location in some backwater state just cause their political leaders kiss the right butt.

Many in my locale are reporting the same. Is this Medicare Part D?

I did as well and they immediately issued me a new card. That was only a few months ago.

I have at least 15, and sent the company an email to stop sending them to me.

But are they still billing Medicare under your name? The fraud isn't just about sending you kits, it's really about billing Medicare for something not necessary or provided.

If I'm not getting them, Medicare isn't getting billed.
