Hi- Is it possible to be dropped by your health insurance because you have too many claims? even though it isn't pre-existing?

VERY possible.

Some people have been dropped during the middle of chemo.

If they don't drop you, they'll raise your rate so it's very unaffordable.

But, any lawyer would jump at the chance to sue on your behalf, and most likely win.

Health insurance companies the world over are total ba5tard5. The only way to get around this one is to take full responsibility for your own health and read up as much as you can about everything. Even weird things too. Become informed and take positive steps to regain your health. Every medical condition has had someone beat it - even cancers and heart conditions. Although the medical establishment say that a lot of these weird things are hoaxes and cons, I feel that anything that has helped a lot of people must have some value. Personally, if I had cancer again, I would go on a fast. Fasting used to work miracles for people in the 1900's when there were fasting clinics run by doctors. Nowadays they have been shut down, but in their day, they cured a lot of people without drugs.

As an example of a weird thing I tried, I had a gall-bladder scare about 2 years ago and was told I should have the thing taken out. I decided to try liver flushing and after I read up loads of information on it, I did try liver flushes. To date, I have not had a re-occurrance of the terrible pain I went through and I feel that I have beaten it by using these liver flushes. Thats not to say that it would work for you, but if you read up on curezone.com there are loads of things which people have tried and appear to work for them.

They did this to someone I know after her breast cancer treatments. Her hubby and her had a beast of a time trying to find a carrier that they could afford after that. I think that is so twisted. Its not like you can FAKE cancer....or be dramatic...I HATE that they do that to anyone with cancer. Makes me sick.

If your insurance is through your employer or you get your insurance by being a dependent on someone else's plan, which is through their employer, you are safe.
If you do get dropped, your state may have a high-risk insurance pool that you can buy a policy through.

Get your insurance policy out and go through it with a fine-toothed comb - it should all be there (maybe in the fine print). This kind of stuff really burns me up - when someone needs healthcare there is absolutely no reason why one should not get it!

It is illegal - at least in my state- for a health insurance carrier to drop you for any reason other than non-payment of your premium or fraud. So NO you can't get dropped for using your health insurance. Get real people, buy a policy from a respected company and ask questions. Why would you buy major medical insurance if it will drop you when you get sick? That is what you are paying for!
