These people sound like they've been drinking this way for some time. It probably didn't get to this point over night for some.

Some are probably hard drinkers and may be fine at that level, so long as they don't harm anybody/themselves. Some will be potential alcoholics and wil probably deteriorate at some point and progress.

The moderate and social drinkers don't like to get drunk. They rarely do it, but may on occasion. I understand them the least.

You guys are making me thirsty

I love a woodsy Merlot and it doesn't do what hard liqueur can. I will do hard once in a while but have learned my lesson not to overindulge. That next morning can be a killer for sure.
