OP: You're "entitled" to drink? That is a very interesting choice of words to use regarding the use of alcohol.

It's weird that common sense behavior modification does not work for you. You do something, you have a bad result and instead of not doing it again, you choose to do it more and complain about it. What is wrong with this picture?

OP's posted thread is 3 years old, if he continued drinking while on meds he probably isn't with us anymore.

Sounds like low tolerance. Your body is metabolizing the alcohol to toxic metabolites, you'll feel the side effects, but there will be a delay after you consume alcohol because a large enough concentration of acetaldehyde has to build up in your plasma for you to feel any effects. I can drink one or two beers and feel a slight headache a little while later. It usually lasts for about 1-2 hours or so, until your liver can detoxify the poison to a lower concentration. Just because you pee doesn't mean the alcohol left your system. This is an issue of pharmacokinetics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharmacokinetics

Checking the OP's posting history shows he is still around; he last posted Aug. 1, 2013 in one of the geographical forums. He may not know this thread has been revived.

Why don't you just stop drinking? Period. That seems like the problem here, and if you stop it the problem would end.

I wouldn't think that would cause such a fuss.
Thing is Hudlander...it might..Depakote mixed with alcohol can result in central nervous system depression and impairment of judgement, thinking, and psychomotor skills...something Luvox can also be guilty of...that makes two....One of the most common side effects of Trileptal IS a headache....I don't know if you have epilepsy or not, I had a very dear friend who did...he was fine with just his meds, but when ever he would have even one drink, he'd have a seizure....He did well for a number of years...then one day he couldn't resist the lure of a drink. Unfortunately he was alone at the time, and died from a grand mal...Soooo very sad..he was a great man.
