VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- People with multiple tattoos covering large parts of their bodies are at higher risk of getting hepatitis C and other diseases, a Canadian researcher warns.

That is not new news! How Tattoos and Piercings Affect your Ability to Donate Blood Plasma

For a long time, blood donation facilities have either steered clear of tatoos or at least set wait perdiods to allow the the virus to "develop" as there is always a window period where it cannot be detected in the human blood (a period that gets smaller and smaller as more blood screening is done at the DNA level and can catching diseases earlier)
