Last week in a series of morning TV interviews, Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Margaret Hamburg told consumers that they should reject over-easy eggs and avoid "runny egg yolks for mopping up with toast."
Since this is how I like to eat my eggs, I'll probably just have to quit eating eggs. Or maybe I'll just buy them from farms that I trust. I wonder how the giant megalomaniac food industry will like that?
I like a runny yolk and a firm white, and I am not going to stop eating my eggs the way I like them because of the lastest scare any more than I stopped eating spinach or peanut butter after previous ones.
I will eat my eggs runny,i may even plop a raw one in the blender for "power" drink on occasion. I don't worry because I buy my eggs from a rural neighbor's small farm. I eat well, support my community, and encourage animal welfare all in the same whack!
