I suppose this was only a matter of time. I was really blown away by these things when I first saw them. They have only been around a couple of years so I guess the government is just getting around to them.

They seem like a great way to smoke without all the ill effects of burning tobacco. But the FDA claims there are some cancer causing chemicals in them. But I am sure there are a LOT more in a regular cancer stick! It just seems that the world is just not ready to get rid of big tobacco just yet, and this just proves it...

Pardon me for bumping an old thread but yeah it doesn't surprise me that the government would be against a product that they don't currently reap taxes on. That on top of the big tobacco lobbying dollars telling everybody that E-cigarettes are bad. Both my g/f and myself have quit smoking using E-cigs and haven't had any adverse affects from using them for well over a year. If you've ever been thinking of trying them, now is a good time since Vapor4Life is having their 20% off sale (use JuiceCarts24 for the coupon code):

I'd recommend the V4L Vapor King or Joye510 units. Much higher quality than the ubiquitous "Blu" eCig. LiIon batteries last for days, and really really good atomization of the flavor cartridges. Very consistent performance and feels like a traditional cig when inhaling.
