I'm just wondering if you stayed off the caffeine. I'm determined to give up my coffee habit which isn't too bad, 3 to 4 cups a day, but I'm not looking forward to the possible headaches. I guess I could survive a few weeks with one as I'm prone to migraines and regular headaches any way.

I think it would be safe to say that you would probably get a HA. I would cut back a little at a time. I was at a big cup in the am, and then probably 2 caffeinated bevs in the afternoon, then maybe another when getting home fr work. Now none at work, usually about half a cup in the morning, if even that. Water, fitness water,, flavored water, and gatorade the rest of the day for me now. Don't even care to have the rest.

I really, really enjoy coffee. It is my one vice that I can live with the consequences of.

I don't drink alcohol and I am trying really hard to stay away from processed foods and such.

Just don't touch my coffee and noone will get hurt!

Dawn

I hear ya, Dawn! Hubby's learned not to come between me and food, especially my coffee.

Kewgee, I'm not completely off it anymore, but I've definitely cut way back. I feel better when I don't drink much of it.

I don't know you, but congrats! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y164/canibeyou/clap.gif (broken link)

I have been caffeine free for 7 years now!

Me + caffeine = trip to the ER. I'm a migraine a week (at the least) sufferer since 1997. Caffeine is one of the triggers for my migraines. I'm almost to the point of being paranoid of anything that could possibly have caffeine in it. I've never liked coffee... but I love the smell of it!

And I wouldn't suggest a cold-turkey stop of caffeine to anyone. That's what I was told to do by my doctor. After 3 days, I was begging people to shoot me in the head just to end it all. And I'm not kidding or making light of it. I was serious. That was one of the worst migraines I've ever had. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y164/canibeyou/headshake.gif (broken link)

Hope everyone has MANY more migraine free days!

I agree, I was with them for ten years, and now, to be without them, is like paradise

I recently realized that the extreme anxiety I suffer from is actually panic attacks...that really brings into focus my addiction to caffiene...I don't drink soda anymore, never drank coffee or tea...I think the stimulant effect made the panic attacks less.

You don't know how I CRAVE Dr. Pepper...its like CRACK to me. I might have one in a month...not even that usually.

I had a problem with kidney stones and anytime I feel the addiction grabbing me, I try to remember the pain I was in.
