i just read online that here in the US, foley catheter is replaced every 4 to 6 weeks..

we will definitely need a doctor for this.. any idea how much the doctor/urologist charge for this?

i will talk to him to ask his doctor in philippines why hasnt his foley catheter replaced, he's had it for a few months already..

Did you know that there is a smaller leg bag that he can wear under his pants for during the day? It can be drained as necessary. Overnight, he would still need to switch back to the larger drainage bag. It's fairly easy to switch between the small and larger drainage bags. They just snap off the catheter tube and you should use alcohol wipes on the open ends, again to help keep the bacteria levels, and risk of infection minimized.

Why don't you check with your family doctor or a local urgent care center?
