The past 2 days I've been lightheaded during certain parts of the day. I know it's a vague symptom that's hard to pinpoint. But since I came down with a sore throat yesterday, I'm wondering if it's related. Nothing else is bothering me... lightheadedness just makes me nervous. I don't usually have it as a cold symptom. Thanks.

Lots of people in Upstate SC are dealing with some cold/flu symptoms. I think its mostly allergies; but something is in the air here.

Thanks....I should mention that as far as I know I don't suffer from any allergies, however I'm researching lightheadedness right now and most say it is sinus related.

that makes sense because as your sinus backs up it gets to your inner ear and can cause problems with balance and that probably touches lightheadedness too. I seem to suffer most when the pollen counts are high; right now it's ragweed and I know that the falling leaves make me suffer more too. I quit smoking 2 weeks ago right before I got sick last week and I know my symptoms were diminished because of that but I sure felt bad for 3 days.

I had a sinus infection in April. Cleared it up (or so I thought) and in June I got hit with full blown vertigo, worse than I have ever had it in all my life. Thinking it was the result of the sinus infection, my doctor gave me 2 weeks of antibiotics.. Still had the vertigo. Went to a ENT. They told me that they have been really busy this summer with vertigo patients.. Seems there has been an explosion of it going around. Only last week did he do a CT scan of my sinus and sure enough, there was some really thick infection in my right upper sinus.... Sure wished he'd done that in July!

wow. I took a Claritin last night, I think it helped a little and today so far I'm fine. Sometimes I feel a little warm....I suppose it could be pre-menopausal issues too.

I began that way, too. It started with a little sore throat, little cold, and 2 days later the stomach flu....it has been 4 days since then and I am still light headed, queasy, very tired, and listless. I am wondering how long this lasts. K

Some sort of heavy duty cold/bronchitis bug going around here in coastal North Carolina--most employees of my local Piggly Wiggly store were really sick with it...
