I was obsessed about clear skin. I had this problem of occassional constipation; when that happened, I had breakout on my skin. I drank plenty of water, and ate lots of green vegetables every day, but that didn't solve the problem. A while ago, I found out that including prebiotics in my food really helps. I did not have constipation problem since.

Do you mean pro-biotics as in friendly bacteria.
And yogurt has just one (2?) of the number of strains that are important ... asidophilus.
And ideally you want to take a pro-biotic supplement on and empty stomach.
Jarro-Dophilus (by Jarrow) is an excellent formula and a bit less expensive than some others found in the health food store.

How to Compare Probiotic Yogurts | eHow.com
Survival of Yogurt Bacteria in the Human Gut

Not all yogurts have only one strain as well there are numerous variants of bacteria used in milk culture not killed during the process and a long history in society.

My husband makes our kefir as well ........the traditional way.......all kinds of probiotics in that stuff. It ain't liquid yogurt.
