Does anyone know how to determine the best time to schedule surgery by using the Almanac and reading the moon phases & zodiac signs location on the body. I'm not sure if I correct on determining when the moon is in the waning stage? I am comtemplating having spine surgery on the 4th & 5th cervical disks. I know it's best to schedule surgery when the signs are furtherest from the area that is to be worked on.

I used the Almanac for my spinal surgery. It was for a great deal more than what you are having done. I was looking for the time that would have the less chance of massive bleeding. I picked the time that was the best choice for castrating animals. Also, since we are on the coast, I took the tide tables into account. I picked a morning on an outgoing tide.

Did it work? Well, my surgeon had me stock pile 3 units of my own blood, 'just in case' and when the almost 7 hours of surgery was over, he told me that I just didn't bleed. I used less than 500 cc during those 7 hours with two ten inch incisions and a a small six inch over a hip (needed bone for grafts) He was amazed! When I told, more or less as a joke, why I picked that day, he didn't know what to say, but he included it in the notes that he sent my other doctor.

Soooo, did it work? I don't know, but if I had it to do over, I'd do the same thing.
