Just a minor correction: the question was asked in late November, 2010 (a couple of weeks shy of two years ago). People were trying to answer the question up until April of 2011 (over a year and a half ago). They stopped trying to answer it then.

I have issues with that when I think double digits I think fat. It is harder stigma when you are taller I wear size 12 pants but I am almost 6ft and I always feel like I need to lose weight to get back into single sizes. it is really unfair. When I use to do convention modeling I would have to lie to say I was an eight just to get work. I was really more a 10/12. I did not look big. Clients did not even notice, but if I knew if I put double digits. It would equal fat.

I think the OP wants to know what WE feel is fat in another person, not what each person feels for themselves if they are fat or not.

Rosie O'Donnell - FAT
Jessica Simpson in those horrible momma pants - FAT
Margaret Cho - FAT
Jessica Simpson before she got married - NOT FAT
Jessica Beil - NOT FAT
Serena Williams - NOT FAT (Hot and slightly big, but NOT fat. But she's HOT)
Most women over 160 pounds - FAT
Ok really over 160. When I weight 160 I was a size 7/8 and people thought I weight 135. This is so typical and stupid and Serena Williams definitely weights over 160 lbs

I am 5' 11". I can get clothes in all areas of Nordstrom's. I don't need to go to the "women's" section. I wear a size 10-12.

Default Well

People have different views on this topic. Many people think I weigh lesser than I really do. I use to be a 16-18 but now I'm a 10-12 depending on the cut of the outfit especially the pants! I carry my weight in my thighs and butt. AND I am ACTIVE!! Pole dancing, kickboxing, yoga, boxing, cross training, various sports, etc. I have muscles in my thighs and butt, etc. And many doctors have written me off as healthy as a horse so..... f**k what cha heard (I know that's ghetto).

1. The person you're responding to hasn't been a member of the forum in over a year (thus the "not a member" designation under his name, and why he never responded again, after his last post in 2010).
2. Serena Williams weighs 155.
3. The only way you'd be able to fit in a 7/8 at 160, is if you had 20-pound ankles and wore capris.

I'm a male, 5'8", and I wear 31" waist pants. To me, once you get to 36" you're borderline heavy. And if you go over 38" you probably need to lose a few pounds.

I've seen pants with over a 40" waist that I could use as a quilt.

No everyone has different body types. I am 5'11 and have athletic basketball players build. Do not speak for everyones body type. I am sorry you would not be able to pull that off. I hate it when people have different body types and then try to speak for others body types. It is mostly out of jealously. My mom pulled this crap because she has more model body type versus me more basketball player type. She told I needed to weight 150 and I knew that would be to thin for me. Lo and behold I got down to 155 my smallest weight ever, and she admit that I was right was really thin and then wanted to borrow my clothes but she could not wear them because she was too big for them even though we weighed the same.

No wonder I have issues with weight numbers because we have dumb people trying size people sizes according to they think is right.

I was in college weight 160-165 people thought I was about 135-140 and easily wore size eight pants and size 6/7 skirts. My weight goes to my chest and when I overweight my chest and back. I have always had a smaller lower half and pretty much no butt so it I easily fit into those sizes.

If I can attached picture I have me at size 10 weighing over 170 and fitting comfortably.
