Thanks, I never would have figured that one out!

I mix 1 tbl apple cider vinegar and 2tbls honey to a glass of water. The honey is reported to have health benifits and it moderates the vinegar taste.

I've also heard it's not only good for reflux (I don't suffer from this) but someone put it to me this way, you clean out your coffee maker with vinegar and it really cleans it well - vinegar in general does the same to your intestinal tract - so I've heard anyway.

I've also been researching the benefits of Oil of Oregano.. the stuff I've read thus far has been pretty impressive. I had even tried it on a pet that had this horrible skin condition and no meds we tried every kept it away but this stuff did. You can use it topically and internally... topical has to be watered down though if using on pets.

It's great to hear more about ACV - it was strongly recommended to me by my acupuncturist, and I have some on hand, but have some hesitancy about taking it regularly. Specifically, I've read it can do some nasty things to your teeth if taken in too concentrated doses.

I will give it a try...

i use acv dairly as a drink and as a rinse for my hair, ive seen a huge difference in my skin and how shiney my hair is since.

i also give it to my pets, the dogs, cat and birds get some in their water, feathers and fur are realy nice

it has to be unpasturized though, after pasturization it looses most of the benefits.

Use white vinegar in coffee makers to decalcify and clean them, not apple cider vinegar.

ACV has many wonderful qualities. But everyone, please remember that it has a low ph and is acidic! After drinking *any* acidic product you should swish your mouth out with water. Acid WILL erode teeth enamel and alter the delicate ph of your mouth, which is important. Swish people. Swish.

Bragg is a common brand with the mother in it in most health-food or organic sections. I mix 1 T vinegar to 1 T honey and take 1 T at least a couple times of day. With that, watching the diet, and 1/2 hour on the treadmill 5 times weekly, my BP has gone from 180's over 120's...again, to 130's over mid 80's in 2 weeks.

Wow, Grannysroost, that's a powerful testimonial..I'll keep taking it then. Got my Bragg's online--it was much less $$ to get a quart then what it cost in a health food store for a pint...
