Hi everyone!! went to Dr today to get Meloxicam re-filled and told her that I have been having problems with left hip and leg. She did an exray and said that it was fine, but since I have arthritis in my left foot, I may have sciatica. I ask her what caused it and she said that it may be because I still favor my left foot some and it has throwed my back and hip off. She also said that I may need to wear a brace on my foot to get it straightened up. Ok here is my question..what type of brace? I looked at the ones at the drug store that are made of cloth, but tie and velcro in front. Would that be stiff enough? I have the brace ( hard plastic.. aircast) that they gave me when I fell 2 years ago..would that work? I don't mind wearing it..but would like something more comfortable. She also said to get some type of good insoles for my shoes ( I will do that this week). Other then that she increased my meloxicam and that was it. I am going to google sciatica for the exercises she recommended..is there anything else I should do? Mine really bothers me in the evening and at night..and sharp pains when I first get up and sometimes when I walk... but if I sit too long my foot goes to sleep.. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!
