I had a tibia fracture while playing soccer on Oct 28. Doctors said its a "transverse fracture of the distal tibia with mild displacement. No fibular fracture is noted". I was applied a splint below my knee, immobilizing the ankle.
The splint stayed for 2 days. On Oct 30, the Doc applied a cast (not a full leg).He let the leg hang through the knee, and applied force to correct the mild displacement in the fracture. Doctor said it would take 16 weeks for the fracture to heal.
Three weeks post the cast, there is no pain, but sometimes(once or twice a week) i feel muscles around the leg pain as if they are pressing against the contours of cast that were created when Doctor applied force to correct the displacement.
I have a doctor visit on Dec 1st? What to expect in this visit?
How long before i can start walking or 50% weight bearing?
Can i travel on flight with a plaster cast?
