I have been on the road a good bit this year and have traveled to numerous gyms, some older (60s-70s built) and some built within the last five or ten years.
Almost to a unit, the older gyms had both saunas, steam rooms, or both available, some in the locker room, other times in common areas. The newer gyms almost never seem to have saunas or steam rooms, and many also lack whirlpools.
I'm pretty sure all 24 Hr. Fitness' have them. I never use a sauna/steam room. I've been in one many years ago and didn't see the point of it. It seemed miserable!
