I haven't noticed any reactions to certain foods, but from what I understand, bad bacteria feeds off of certains sugars, starches, etc. My medicine seems to be working for the most part, but it only makes since that those with and even without digestive disorders feel better when they eliminate a lot of the crap that we consume now days. If it weren't for the suffering myself and others have gone through with these IBD's, I would find the science behind it pretty interesting.

At this point it's about self-discipline, or lack thereof, when it comes to following some sort of diet.

is there even such a thing as chronic appendicitis? Either you have appendicitis and need appendix removed or you don't.

Chronic appendicitis slowly develops and usually doesn't require immediate attention, though it's something to definitely keep an eye on.

Yes there is such a thing. Some people go for years before having their appendix removed.
