: How America Got So Fat And So Sick - Page 1 - MSN Health & Fitness - Healthy Living (http://health.msn.com/healthy-living/how-america-got-so-fat-and-so-sick?page=1 - broken link)
Interesting article. Our youth may now have a shorter life expectency then their parents for the first time in history. Sad.
I just glanced at the article, but IMO it ain't like when I was a kid. Back in the day the city recreation department would bring a 28 ft trailer with all kinds of stuff to play with to the school after school. The school playground actually had cool stuff to play and climb on, that's all gone ( largely because of lawyers and lawsuit- happy parents)..
In this day and age of pitbulls and pedophiles, people tearing up and down a 30 mph road doing 60 on a cellphone.... a parent just can't let their kids run wild like the good ole days.
Who cares. Who wants to live to 60 and have all types of health problems. You would be wishing you were dead
Come on now TreasuredJewel....60's not that far away for me...I'm very physically fit, active, and I love life.....and I sure would like to be around for a while yet!!
interesting how the first 2 factors are due to the massive infiltration of grains and hyrdogenated vegetable oils. anybody know someone on this forum who has been saying this for a while now?

LOL, I talked like that when I was young but now I'm 52 and would like very much to live past 60. I dance every week with a group of folks who are past 60 and they're all lively and vibrant and don't have many weight problems. Then the next day I go to the high school I work at and see all kinds of overweight teenagers slumping around the school and many of them are not lively and vibrant and I'm wondering how they'll do at 60. Not well is my guess, if they even manage to make it that far.
