Just have to hold out hope that this can be controlled and that your father can live many, many more years.

Maybe, after the chemo and radiation, the mass will shrink enough so that it can be completely removed and the spots in the liver will disappear.

A friend of mine has the worst possible form of breast cancer, triple negative....it only presented in the lymph nodes in her neck and under her arm, so they could not do anything surgically or with radiation.

Anyway, the chemo immediately knocked down the cancer.....no sign of it anywhere.....but she will be on chemo for the rest of her life. Two years and so far, so good......and they still have several other types of chemo to use if the one she is on now ever stops working.

I am hoping your father's cancer responds well to the chemo and radiation.....and that he has many good years ahead of him.
Thank you very much. I think he got this from his work place becuase he is a healthy guy and doesn't smoke or drink. It is just weird that he has to go through everything. I think the cancer did spread to the liver but there are little lesions on the liver. The problem is the pancreas. They can't operate on it because it's a little too big. They have to shrink it first and then they might operate on it or just use radiation to take it away. He has to go on Thursday for a biopsy to see how much chemo and radiation he needs.

Tony, I'm so very sorry too. Thank goodness it's slow-growing. I'll continue to pray for your family during his recovery.

Tony your Dad is lucky in one way. He has you. The support and love of family and friends is so important when facing cancer. Best of luck to all of you.

The reason why the doctors are not doing surgery is because it has spread to his liver. They want to do chemo to whipe away all the cancer cells and shrink the tumor.
