"What viruses will the 2011-2012 vaccine protect against?
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommended that the United State's 2011–2012 seasonal influenza vaccine contain the following three vaccine viruses:
an A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)-like virus;
an A/Perth/16/2009 (H3N2)-like virus; and
a B/Brisbane/60/2008-like virus.
The 2011–12 influenza vaccine can protect you from getting sick from these three viruses, or it can make your illness milder if you get a related but different influenza virus strain. (For more information about how the viruses in the vaccine are selected, visit Selecting the Viruses in the Seasonal Influenza (Flu) Vaccine.)
The viruses in this season’s vaccine are the same viruses that were selected for the 2010-2011 influenza vaccine for the United States. More information about the vaccine virus selection process is available at Vaccine Selection for the 2011-2012 Season. "
Even if you took the vaccine last year, it is advised to repeat it since the level of protection may decline quickly.

I believe that many of the actual shots are made with A/Victoria/210/2009 - instead of A/Perth/16/2009. The CDC does state: "A/Wisconsin/15/2009 and A/Victoria/210/2009 are A/Perth/16/2009-like viruses".
On the subject of shots and adverse reaction; Sanofi has just received approval for a smaller, shorter, needle: http://www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20110510/NEWS90/110519928&cid=sitesearch “Food and Drug Administration approved the company's Fluzone Intradermal vaccine for adults 18 through 64 years old.” It would be “injected with a tiny needle into skin cells rather than muscle.”
I get flu shots ever year and this year I got mine last Wednesday. This one has the h1n1 mixed in for one shot.
From time to time, I start feeling a little weak, aches on body. Feels like I have the flu but I don't. How many more days before I recover 100%?
Have you ever had the real flu? I have and it makes me vomit almost non stop, I can't eat and I get a high fever for days, I'm out for at least a week. I get the flu shot and that goes away. The most I get, if anything at all, is what you just described a little weak with aches.

Yeah LOL I would think you did recover by now Glad you recovered. Did you get it like I used to? It's the pits being so sick like that. Geez I remember when people would be out sick for at least 5-7 days when they got the flu way back when I was much younger. Then came the flu shot and when more people started getting it they were amazed at how well it worked for them.
