My brother is currently 10 & 4 months years old but when I was his age, I was taller than him.

Here is some information so it'll help figure about how tall my brother will be:

My mom's 5'4 and dad's 5'11.

My height is 5'7 (well I'm a woman) and recalled being 4'9 at the age of 9 yrs & 8 months and then 5ft at age 10. But my brother isn't at 5 ft yet.

There are height prediction "calculators" available online.

The one I used with the numbers you gave predicted your brother would be 5'9" as an adult.

Remember that boys usually have their big growth spurt after girls. I dated someone in high school who was shorter than me in 9th grade (I'm 5'3) and is now over 6ft. I would guess given your parents heights that he will be 5'9" or so.

My guess is that your brother will be of normal height. Boys typically have their growth spurts quite a bit later than girls. I was done growing by age 13. My sons started their adolescent growth spurts at 13-14. My 16 year old son is still growing. Most 16 year old girls haven't grown for a few years.

How tall are the rest of your relatives?

Can't look at just his parents or siblings.

It's even possible that somewhere in your ancestry, was some genetic oddity that caused a great-great-great-great second cousin on your mom's side to grow to be 6'7". If that happened, then the DNA strand for that is still floating around your gene pool, and your brother might have inherited it, and have a sudden growth spurt the day before his 17th birthday.

Or, he might end up a perfectly normal, generally average height, whatever is average in your family.

Or maybe he'll be short.

Honestly, there's no way to *know* in advance. There's only guesses people can make with a window of accuracy.

The woman's brother was 6'7" and 375 pounds, the rest of the family is average or just below average size, they had to go back three generations to find another male that large.

It's hard to tell. I am 6'1" 1. My ex-husband is 6'4". Our daughter is only 5'8"! (She is 21.)

My ex's mother was 5'2" and his father was around 5'10". You cannot always guess.

I have three sisters and I am the only one who got to be as tall as my mother. The others are all much shorter--5'7", 5'8" and 5'9". My brothers are/were all over six feet tall.

Well from my father's side, his mother was my mom's same height and his dad was a couple inches shorter than him (5'8-5'9). Then his older siblings are 5'4, 5'6 (my aunts) and 5'9 (my uncle).
I think my father is the tallest male member in the family as the other males were shorter. According to him, he said that was his height at age 13 and he stopped growing since.

From my mom's side of the family, her mother is either 4'11 or 5 ft (she's the shortest female member in the family) and her father was about 5'8 I think. Her grandmother who is still alive was 5'6 (she got shorte due to age) but her great-grandmother was taller.
My mother stopped growing at age 13 as well too.

In my case I stopped growing in 12th grade, just a couple months before turning 18.
