OMG! Not another poop thread! For goodness sake people... People are people- we ALL have basic human needs and we can't always control when our bodily functions occur. I think that it is cruel and insensitive to expect, much less TELL, a guest that they cannot perform a bodily function in your only bathroom! Of course your roomate lost it on you! I would have too. How DARE you tell another human being that was INVITED into your (shared) home that they are only allowed to be "partially" human while there.

I suggest you get a can of Lysol and a container of Chlorox wipes and deal with it. Furthermore- in all seriousness- maybe you should seek some counceling as your preoccupation with other people's bodily functions does not seem entirely rational to me. Seriously. I hope you never plan to have kids either-- you'll have them so messed up in the head that they will be peeing the bed 'til they're 30...

Yes.

[plus it's not enforceable and, therefore, not realistic]

blkgiraffe....what a strange request....isn't sh## what toilets are for???...What do you expect your guests to do?...do you have an outhouse they can use??...Your germ phobia is definately out of controll, and instead of expecting your guests to "hold it in", rather than relieve themselves...you should concentrate more on overcoming your unecessary and detrimental phobia of germs.....and YES, your silly "rule" is not only too harsh, but insulting as well.

Here's one that'll REALLY freak you out:

If I'm menstruating and I'm at a friend's house, I might actually change my tampon in their bathroom.

If it's the first day of my period, I might do that, AND poop, since the cramps tend to twist my intestines like crazy and make me have to poop, a LOT, and often, for the first day.

When I gotta go, I really don't care about hurting your feelings. And I'm not even all that picky about the condition of your bathroom. Be glad I don't go home to MY family and criticize your choice in room fresheners, or the stain on the wall over the bathtub, or the scum on your toothpaste tube.

So you are saying you would rather they poop in their pants and then get it all over your chairs when they sit down?

You could always keep a supply of diapers on hand when they visit. LOL!

Two things,
Please, do not ever have children. They will have friends over, and at four and five years old, sometimes there's more poop on the seat than inside the toilet!
Number two ( no pun intended) you do know that the kitchen has more germs than the bathroom, right?
