I woke up with severe leg cramps this morning. There is the pain along with muscle spasms in the calf of my leg. At first it was like they were going to be in both but as I lay there they ended up in my right leg calf. I could hardly walk. The severity of them lasts for just a few minutes, 3-4, but they are still felt long term. Now my leg calf feels like a knot in it and still some light pain.
Any ideas how to treat this. I sure hope I don't have anymore. I have had these before on occasion and they are no fun.

Be sure you are properly hydrated, stretch after exercise and have a banana or potato to replenish potassium levels.

Sometimes they're caused by stress.

Drinking a little bit of tonic water before bed can help prevent them.

Believe it or not, try pinching your upper lip area.
