Went for a routine dentist visit the other day at a new dentist and one of the questions of course that is asked is of course "Are you on any medications?" I said no, and the dental hygenist looked like she was astounded. What gives? I get this all of the time, whenever I have to go for a physical, drug test for a new job, etc. How many people here do not chronically take any medications at all?

I take no meds other than vitamins (by choice). I'm still in my 20s, but over 25.

I know plenty of people who aren't on a medication regimen, including me. Yes I am well over 25.

I am 57 and just in the last couple of months have started taking a couple of medications - one of which is for high blood pressure.

I've had a number of surgeries and am always on a round of various medications after each one but those are only prescribed for a month or two.

I am 58 and just take an Ambien once in awhile.

I think high blood pressure meds may be in my future though, my mother got it when she was around my age and my numbers have been slowly creeping up there.

Does the over 60's count? If so, I've NEVER taken medication other than cold or flu stuff, and the last time would have to be over 20 years ago. When you're in casual employment you don't take time off - you don't work...you don't get paid! You tough it out, it's that simple.

I'm 35 and my wife is 34 and neither of us are on meds.
My dad was in his late 50s/early 60s before he went on meds.
And my mom was in her 50s when her thyroid went and she started taking thyroid meds.

Most of my friends aren't on any medications...except maybe birth control.
