last night i developed a fever of 100.8. at 2AM it was 100.3 and now at 9AM it is 99.5. someone at work developed a fever and left. would you say this will go down to normal in a few hours? if it gets worse or stays the same how many days should i give myself before visiting the doctor?
my stomach was upset but that was more from constipation. going to the bathroom helped in feeling better. can constipation have an affect on fever or there is no connection?
Actually the constipation combined with fever could indicate that part of the problem is that you're dehydrated. One bit of advice is that you should make an effort to rehydrate yourself. Water and maybe a fortified juice like Odwalla Power C or regular old orange juice should help. Chicken soup also helps. You'll want to be careful not to overdo rehydrating and knock your electrolytes out of balance.
since the fever is coming down already, I wouldn't worry too much about it....like tootsie said, drink lots of water....I'd wait a few days before becoming concerned..
i think youre right about the dehydration. i take micardis/hct and furosemide. i probably am not drinking enough water
Since you're on a diuretic, I'd let the Dr who prescribed the furosemide know about your fever/constipation and ask how they recommend you hydrate yourself.

That sounds like leukemia.
