I've had large acne cysts that broke open, and pus and blood leaked out.
After a while, a large bump was left behind. What is inside the bump - dried pus?

What can be done about these bump scars? One of mine has been there decades.

Have you gone to a dermatologist? They would be the best answer for you.

The scars caused by cysts usually require subcision if treated by a doctor and there is some downtime involved. A lot of people use dermarollers for shallow scars and needling for deep scars when they are treating themselves at home. Treating scars with dermarolling and needling requires topicals and diet changes that promote faster healing. Many people are also using LED light therapy to help skin heal faster. Dermarolling and needling aren't aggressive treatments so the skin quickly recovers (usually less than a day) but results take a very long time.

I had one right between my eyes where my eye brows were. The dermatologist told me mine was a oil gland.... it first showed up as a really big zit,....zit went away leaving a hole looking place that seem to have a bump under the hole... (the hole was not a open hole). I had it for many years, had several doctors ask about it and wanted to remove it. I finally agreed to let the dermatologist remove it. It was simple to remove but he had to press hard to get that gland to pop out.. No more bump now!
