I'm 40. I don't recall ovulating this month (usually you get the jelly like discharge for a few days an I only can remember one small bought of for less than a day). Then my period was 3 days late. Came on normal. Light and then heavy for a few days. Now it's 12 days and I'm still getting light blood. It starts up in the morning after I exercise and stops by night. Yesterday it was finally brown and gone by this morning so I thought finally I was done. But after I exercised and showered...I checked and there was red blood again on the toilet paper. Other them mild cramping I don't have pain. Is this hormonal?

I wouldn't "worry" - I would call a gyn and make an appointment sooner rather than later. 40 would be young to go through menopause and ovarian or uterine issues can be many - mildly annoying to serious. I wish you well.

Like I told you in your other thread, most women have some spotting or a few periods that last longer than usual, at least once or twice in their lives. You seem to be very, very worried about this, so you should call your doctor and make an appointment. At the appointment, they may do a vaginal ultrasound. If they can't pinpoint a cause, they'll probably offer you some form of hormonal birth control to regulate your bleeding.

Didn't you get a lot of responses in your other thread? Did you read them?

Go. To. The. Doctor. We cannot tell you if it's hormonal over the internet.

Of course like everyone has been saying, ask your doctor. He/she is the only one who can know for sure but it is very unlikely there is anything wrong. I think we are all way to worried about what something could be. We have just enough information to make us worry about the littlest thing and that certainly is what you are doing.

My cycle has been short, shorter... long and longer. My flow has been light, moderate and O.M.G., I might have to go to the emergency room! I never thought I had cancer. I just thought I had a weird body, cycle. I was right. Nothing happened.
