Yes, I know they've been looking at insulin resistance as a possible culprit for alzheimer's and there seems to be something to it. Something I noticed about this study, though it could be a followup to an earlier one or else the headline was just misleading. The problem I saw was this: 1. giving all the rats HF Corn Syrup for 6 weeks after teaching them the maze 2. And giving one group DHA/EPA oils for the same six weeks. So what they were really studying was whether the DHA/EPA oils would be able to undo the damage the sugar caused, not whether sugar is harmful to the brain, since it would seem that they started with that as a foregone conclusion.
