So I had this test on Monday where they inject radioactive dye in you, then you run on the treadmill and they take pictures of your heart vessels.

Then you relax and they inject you again and take more pictures.
The doc said to have this test cause I have an abnormal EKG. I have no symptoms except hi cholesterol.

So today I called for the results and its abnormal. They won't tell me why or how and I have to see the doc. What could it be? Again, I am not going to worry, but I did just take an aspirin.

I had an insufficient aortic valve which was replaced with a porcine valve in 2005. I have had the Thallium Stress test three times since then, I presume to make sure that my replacement valve is still working.

As recently as last week, I had an EKG that showed "changes" so I had a cardiac cath done. And they found...nothing. One man's "abnormal" is another man's "so what". Is it safe to assume that you have an appointment to see the cardiologist to discuss the findings? Fingers crossed that your outcome is good.

Yes, Gypsy, I have an appt. next week but they won't tell me what's wrong, so I am wondering what it could be.

My husband had this test a few months ago. He had an event at home that caused me to call 911. It was not a heart attack. After an EKG showed an irregular heartbeat, they gave him this nuclear stress test while in the hospital. They wanted to see if pools of blood were forming in the heart chamber as it could cause a blood clot. His stress test came back good, but he was diagnosed with arterial fibrillation. They did put him on Pradaxa for a few months, but now he's taking a daily aspirin 325 mg.

There could be a number of reasons why your test came back abnormal. Try not to worry too much. I know, easier said than done. I hate waiting for results.
