My dad has Alzheimers and I would appreciate any suggestions anyone may have from personal experience we are trying to care for him at home. Thank you.

Some kind of locking mechanism for the doors that he.can't figure out if he gets the tendency to wander. Someone stronger than he is to help.control.him when he gets angry and hostile. Find something that soothes him and watch closely for signs of agitation.

Reach out to the Alzheimer's Association in your area for help. They offer a lot of great advice and assistance.

Look for companies that offer a notification system when your dad is moving around. They make pads that you can put on the bed, chair, medicine box etc that notify you when your dad is getting up, if he is trying to leave the house, taking his medicine.
