Rash on elbow (skin, diet, symptoms, reaction)

For about two month now I have noticed a rash on my left elbow that does not seem to be going away. The rash is oval in shape and light red but over time has now turned dark red to the point that its starting to look grey in places. It does not itch at all and the only symptom is that the area can feel like its burning slightly but this is rare and when it starts it stops within a few minutes. I scrub the area with hot soapy water daily but so far no change and it has not spread anywhere else on my body.

Rashes can be symptoms of other conditions or simply an allergic reaction to something - like detergent or bath wash. I had a persistent rash/rough spot on my elbow for years - I would put cortizone cream on it and it would get better but never fully go away - it never itched but was always discolored - looked almost like I didn't wash that elbow (which I did). About 18 months ago I tested positive for Celiac Disease and I have been on a gluten free diet ever since. For the first time since I was a little girl the rash on my elbow is gone, my elbow is soft and smooth and clear....rashes are one of the possible symptoms of Celiac disease and other diseases or deficiencies as well.

Elbows are a common spot for psoriasis. Sounds like plaque psoriasis maybe. Nothing you can really do if it is psoriasis except get some sun.

I googled psoriasis and it is nothing like that! O.O Mine is just a dark red/brown discoloration of the skin with no flaking or skin breaking up. Its also smooth and feels like regular skin.

Try taking raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar internally as well as using it externally on the rash. I would also ramp up the anti-oxidants and cut back on starches; sugars and dairy and maybe take an immune booster.
There is lots on-line about the benefits of Raw Apple Cider vinegar.

If you eat a lot of processed foods and dairy and sweet stuff and not enough raw leafy greens...and maybe haven't been getting enough sleep, it might have been that a bug bit you and that your immune system isn't strong enough to have it go away normally so it has turned into a rash.
