Try taking raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar internally as well as using it externally on the rash. I would also ramp up the anti-oxidants and cut back on starches; sugars and dairy and maybe take an immune booster.
There is lots on-line about the benefits of Raw Apple Cider vinegar.
If you eat a lot of processed foods and dairy and sweet stuff and not enough raw leafy greens...and maybe haven't been getting enough sleep, it might have been that a bug bit you and that your immune system isn't strong enough to have it go away normally so it has turned into a rash.
