Interesting news article yesterday reporting on a study which is said to have indicated that it's more than likely that if you have annual flu vaccinations your risk of suffering a "cardiac event" is substantially lessened:

Quote:
Yahoo! Health reported that scientists looked at 3,227 patients, average age 60, half of whom had been diagnosed with heart disease. Participants received either a flu shot or a placebo, and their health was studied for 12 months. Results saw the patients getting the flu shot as 50 percent less likely to suffer cardiac events, and 40 percent were less likely to die from them.

So, do you get flu and other vaccinations?

I do.

I have read the original work by the Canadian researchers and it is amazing news.

We all know the flu vaccine saves lives from flu and to see that it may have a cardioprotective effect is truly astonishing. Once again vaccines are shown to be among the greatest medical innovations by man.
